Eva has worked for Assurance Melanson since 1990. She is a licensed, bilingual broker and also performs various accounting
and administrative duties in the office.
Company History
Assurance Melanson has been a proud family-owned business for over
75 years. Mr. Auguste Melanson began operating the business out of his general store in the early 1930's. The practice started
doing business with Douglas Rogers Ltd in Amherst, Nova Scotia, and continued that business relationship until approximately
1945. Joseph Melanson ran the business until 1947, at which time Wilfred Melanson took over. From then on, the company was
known as W.A. Melanson until 1974. The following year, Wilfred's wife Geraldine (who also worked at the general store), took
an interest in the insurance portion of the operation and took the liberty of moving the business into a larger office space
right next door. It was to operate as Assurance G. Melanson Ltee until 1985 under Geraldine's direction.
Community Involvement
Assurance G. Melanson (2007) Ltee strives to provide our clients,
and our local communities in general, with the highest level of service, support and protection as possible. We hope our community
involvement and charity donations will contribute to helping our young athletes, our citizens and our community to grow stronger
and advance forward.
